The Flyin' A's
GOING TO STATE FINALS
Stuart and I have been competing in
a country music contest sponsored by
several radio stations throughout the state.
We have won the local level, and will be competing
in the State Finals on Sept. 15th in Abilene, Texas.
Mark it on your calendar, and send us some positive
vibes that day! We'd love to make it to Regionals...if the
country music God's are willing...either way we aim to have a blast!
The scores are based on vocal talent, originality, song writing,
energy on stage, and marketability...so send us those good
vibrations!!!

Finally a new Photo Shoot!!!
Stuart and I had the honor to work with
Austin's own Todd V. Wolfson this month to put
together some photos for some upcoming publicity work!
He did a great job, and was a blast to work with.
Thank you Todd for making it so much fun,
you are AMAZING!!!!
Check out a few of the new shots on our web page:

CD Sales hitting all time Record!
We have sold out of over half of our stock of
Black Top, Backroads!
With the CD NOT even a YEAR OLD,
we are truly appreciative of
everyone's support who picked up our debut CD!
It's available at Waterloo Records,
our LIVE shows, as well as our website!
Don't forget you can by in "cyber" style at i-tunes as well!

New Material sneaking out
at our shows!
Stuart and I have been focusing on writing some
new material, and changing up some of the old stuff.
A few people have commented that they've heard a few
songs they haven't recognized...and they are right!
We are focusing on the writing process in preparation for starting
a new recording project in '08!

Bumper Sticker Mania!
We are still giving out free bumper stickers
while supplies last at our Live shows.
Come on out and pick one up!
They look GREAT on those shiny bumpers or
back windows...they also work well
as raft hole fixers or even to remove unwanted hair!

Stuart and Hilary
members of the Grammy Association!!!
Stuart and I have both been accepted as voting members to:
The Recording Academy (a.k.a. The Grammy Association).
We are looking forward
to helping represent all the Texas Independent Musicians with the
big dogs. We are looking forward to learning how the process works as
well
as help further the advancement of Independent music as a
recognized and respected industry!
I don't know if this means we'll get to finally meet Ellen Degeneres or
Oprah, but either way it is a great cause!

Conway the wonder dog!
Our new addition to the family has finally
joined the ranks of his beloved sister Loretta.
NO, I haven't been popping out kids...we're talking about our
beloved pooches.
Loretta is our HUGE rotwieler/great dane/lab mix, who we
have had for the past 2 years, and her NEW BROTHER
we adopted from Town Lake Animal Shelter
is Conway a small corgie/wiener dog/cat mix!
While on the road they both stayed with friends and family,
and Conway was a huge hit!
Thank you for everyone's support in watching our two pups
while we rambled on the back roads to tour!

2007
Rocky Mountain Tour
What an amazing trip.
We had a warm reception in Albequerque, as well
as Las Cruses, New Mexico. Thank
you to all of our old and new freinds.
The Rocky Mountains were amazing, and we
had a wonderful time playing at the YMCA of the Rockies!
We camped in Rocky Mountain National Park
for a full week, and the surroundings were
surely inspiring!

Thank you to
Car Talk's
Click and Clack
on National Public Radio
Wowzers! Thank you to the producers of
our favorite talk show Car Talk for
playing 2 cuts off our new album!
Click and Clack are the stars of Car Talk, out of Boston,
and they have a great syndicated
radio show that Stuart and I have enjoyed listening
to since we were kids!
They played Rollin' On in it's entirety as well as a clip
from Don't Need the Road No More!
While we can't fix your care, we are honored
to sing to you while you try to learn how to solve your
automotive challenges!

2007 SXSW
2007 is already panning out to be a good year for
The Flyin' A's. SXSW was better than we could have
imagined. 11 shows in 6 days...thanks to everyone who
came out to support us!
We sure had a blast opening up for
Wade Bowen...what a show, and what great guys!
Randy out at the Saltlick sure knows how to treat people
right, and his concert series sure ROCKS!

Gearing up for
Spring
We're looking forward to another
campground show at Old Settler's Music Festival
Campground Stage and our Tour to
to Colorado and New Mexico is panning out well.
We've decided to take the 2 mini Adamson's
on the road with us, so our shows will be bigger
venues...and not as tightly booked as
last year's tour.
Also, our first vacation since the honeymoon is on the
books high in the Rocky Mountains at
the Naitonal Park in Estes Park Colorado!
A full week of climbing, relaxation and
camping will do us some good!

NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY
2007 has also added a new addition to our
family...CONWAY ADAMSON.
He's a 20 pound bundle of energy,
and a nice playmate for his big sister Loretta Larue...
KIDS??? No, they are our furry companions,
Loretta is a 80 pound Rotwieller/ Lab/ Horse Mix
Conway is a Korgie/Terrier/Midgit mix.

New CD
"Blacktop, Back Roads"
In the running for the most TOP ADDS to radio station playlists!
http://www.accd.edu/tcmn/adds.htm
Check it out! We are listed on the Third Coast Radio Chart for being
in the running forthe "TOP ADDS" to play lists....what does this
mean? Well, we've been sending out our new record to all of the
Texas Chart Radio Stations
in the hope they'll play it, and it looks like they are! YIPPEEE!
Being and independant artist, we don't have a publicity person, or
big promo personpushing our record...what you see is what you
get...so we make up for it by hard work and
a lot of man hours and elbow grease! Let's hope it makes it onto the
finalchart!
If you have an incling to call your local station
to request the Flyin' A's,
we'll have a link to all of the stations that have our record in hand
up on thewebsite soon!

CD Release PARTY!!!!!
It was AWESOME! Thank you to
EVERYONE who came out!
We all had a blast, and Stuart and I were
overwhelmed with the support.
There were over 100 people there at one
point...some from as far as Waco and even
Virginia! What a treat to have you all there to
share such a special moment for us!
Thank you to Charlie Irwin, Duane Hamilton and
Flash for putting in extra time to rehearse our new
music as well as come out and breath life into our
new material.Thank you for helping make our first
CD together a reality.
Every tip and show over the past year has been put
towards making that CD a reality,
and your encouragment and support has given us
the energy and creative confidence
to complete the process true to our music.

TOMPKINS AND ADAMSON
are now booking as "THE FLYIN' A's"
WHY MIGHT YOU ASK?
The Adamson family brand is none other than "The Flying A". When we
decided to get hitched in October of 2005, we decided the time was right
to officially combine musical forces with our DUO RECORD...where we
will transition to "The Flyin A's" in honor of our commitment together in
life and music, as well as to honor the Adamson family's long Texas
lineage by adopting our family brand as our band name as well as logo.
