The Flyin' A's bring a distinct twist to Americana with a Texas kick that echoes through every note. This high-energy husband-and-wife duo hails from Austin, Texas, and their roots are unmistakably woven into their music. Known for their exceptional songwriting, breathtaking harmonies, and electrifying live shows, the Flyin’ A’s are quickly becoming one of the most exciting acts on the Americana scene.

The Flyin' A's have been making waves since their formation, beginning with their 2004 debut album Blacktop, Back Roads after they met at the Kerrville Folk Festival. Their musical partnership blossomed quickly, and they married in 2005, launching The Flyin’ A’s shortly after. Since then, they’ve toured extensively across the U.S. and internationally, garnering impressive endorsements and media praise. “A musical duo that is so hot right now, you’ll wanna cool your jets... land and take a listen to The Flyin’ A’s,” says Jason Wheeler of CBS News.
Their journey has been anything but ordinary. Stuart, who grew up in San Antonio, comes from a long line of West Texas ranchers, with his family cattle brand, The Flying A, inspiring the band’s name. Hilary, originally from LaCrosse, WI, grew up in Austin, Texas—the self-proclaimed "Live Music Capital of the World"—and her musical journey spans gospel, jazz, country, blues, and Texas songwriting greats. Together, their unique blend of influences and musical chemistry has created a sound that resonates with fans all over the globe.
With No Holds Barred and their upcoming projects, The Flyin' A's continue to prove that they are one of the most exciting and enduring duos in Americana music today.

The Flyin' A's are currently in the midst of their exciting sixth recording project, teaming up with UK's Ron Rogers, renowned for his work with the award-winning band T’Pau. This latest venture marks a thrilling new chapter as the band dives into an entirely original collection of music, blending fresh ideas and sounds. What sets this project apart is its transatlantic collaboration, as the Flyin' A's work with talented musicians from both sides of the pond. With Rogers’ expertise and the fusion of diverse musical influences, this project promises to be a powerful, genre-defying exploration that connects the energy of both the American and British music scenes. The anticipation is building as the band sets the stage for a truly international creative journey. The first album from this project is expected to drop in June 2025.

Their latest album, No Holds Barred, was released in February 2020, just before the world changed. Despite the challenges of the global shutdown, the album quickly climbed the charts and earned rave reviews. It will be re-released in the spring of 2022, alongside a US tour in support of the album, followed by an international tour in 2023. No Holds Barred has captured the attention of critics and fans alike, solidifying the Flyin' A's as a force to be reckoned with in the Americana genre.

Their previous album, You Drive Me Crazy, was honored with a spot on the 2017 first-round Grammy ballot for “Best Americana Album,” marking a major milestone in their career. The album earned them tours across the US, UK, and EU, and with its blend of Texas country, southern blues, folk, and gospel influences, it’s no surprise that the Flyin' A's continue to win fans worldwide. From Stuart Adamson’s masterful lead guitar and gritty vocals to Hilary Claire Adamson’s powerful voice and mesmerizing harmonies, this duo effortlessly combines skill and passion, creating a sound that’s uniquely their own.

2011's album 'Til They Shut It Down recording in Nashville with Grammy award winning producer John Jennings lead to exciting tours across the US and Europe. A critic favorite, this album included original music that put The Flyin' A's on the map as a band to watch from Austin, Texas. They also were featured in the documentary FOLK that was a fan favorite when it was released at the Nashville Film Festival, requiring extra showings to be added to the schedule due to the films popularity.

"This charisma laden duo grabs ya by the neck and slaps you silly for short bursts of fun! Hillary Claire Adamson exudes enough “pizzaz” to heat a building and her low key cool hubby Stuart compliments so well. Their latest album,”You Drive Me Crazy”, is chocked full of goodies like “Little Miss Tumbleweed”, “I Won’t Stop Loving You” and “Mr. Blue”. On top of that it was announced that this killer couple has joined the already strong board of Folk Alliance. They’ve been behind the scenes helping at seminars for years and it will be a major plus having them on the Dalis team! The song “We Won’t Back Down” personifies the upbeat wonderful attitude these two carry with them always."
