About Hilary's Music
Hilary Claire Adamson is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and the driving creative force behind the Americana duo The Flyin’ A’s. Known for her powerhouse vocals, razor-sharp songwriting, and fearless genre-blending, Adamson has built a reputation as an artist who honors tradition while pushing it forward—rooted in country, folk, Americana and her own brand of "Texified Jazz", but is never confined by them. Touring across the US, UK, EU and NZ, her craft writing and performing songs is gaining critical acclaim across the globe.

Adamson’s sound reflects a life lived between genres. That musically diverse perspective runs through her music: storytelling meets the grit, groove, and swagger of Texas Americana. Her songs are emotionally direct and vividly cinematic, often exploring themes of resilience, love, displacement, and independence with both grit and grace.
As both a solo artist and the lead singer of The Flyin’ A’s, Adamson delivers soaring harmonies and commanding lead vocals while simultaneously handling guitar, mandolin, and accordion. Her multi-instrumental approach gives her performance its distinctive texture—sometimes stripped-back and intimate, other times raucous and full-throttle. Whether fronting a high-energy four-piece band or performing as a solo act, Adamson brings intensity and authenticity to every stage she steps on.
Adamson’s songwriting has been praised for its honesty, strong melodic sense, and lyrical depth. She has a rare ability to balance raw emotion with sharp craft, creating songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. Her voice—powerful, expressive, and unmistakable—anchors each performance, capable of moving seamlessly from aching vulnerability to full-blown barn-burner.
